Unetbootinbitti is a special version, for Linux Mint debian and Linux Mint Maya, and you can also install it alongside Unetbootin. Prepares usb-memory stick for booting from an iso file or also fetches linux distro to boot e.g. for installation. This is a Unetbootin update and replacement especially for Linux Mint and Linux Mint debian and next versions can download completely new Bittix linux debian version.
This is still a beta version, but the latest 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 versions 64-bit versions and the Windows version works ok.
So how do you get it? I have packaged it for amd64 and i386 versions Debian Wheezy/Ubuntu Precise Pangolin / Linux Mint Maya, those at least should work
# Linux Mint debian or Debian # 1. Add this line to your list of repositories deb /etc/apt/sources.list file # editing your /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://www.bittix.org/debian/ wheezy main
#if using Ubuntu or Linux Mint Maya or other Ubuntu based edit like this:
deb http://www.bittix.org/debian/ precise main
# 2. If you want to verify the downloaded packages - # you will need to add our public key - sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-keys 1B91E1A2
# 3. Run apt-get update: sudo apt-get update
# 4. Install unetbootinbitti: sudo apt-get install unetbootinbitti
The source and deb-file and the windows exe with necessary windows files can be downloaded from:
You can get the source from there also with git, instructions from the same address.
